Even though we've sold Fido Fleece at BaxterBoo.com for over 2 years, I've only recently become a rabid fan and started singing Fido Fleece's praises. I've blogged about how Fido Fleece helped in nursing my sick dog back to health. I've also talked about how Fido Fleece can help contain shedding because it nabs much of your pooch's falling fur before it can get deposited around the house.
So what is it with me? What is it about Fido Fleece that makes it such a great dog coat?

Fido Fleece Helps Control Shedding
Just a few days ago I wrote about how Fido Fleece dog coats meant the difference between life and death for my dog that was recovering from kidney and liver failure. Dexter has worn his Fido Fleece for two weeks straight, while his fur is growing back in the area that was shaved while he was at the vet.
This evening, I took it off for the first time, and noticed something amazing. Because of the texture of the 380 gram fleece used to make the Fido Fleece dog coats, almost all the hair that Dexter normally sheds had been caught in the fleece on the inside of the coat. I checked his dog bed and his favorite spots to lay around the house. Sure enough, almost no new dog hair was there since he'd been wearing the coat.
Dexter is the greatest dog, but he is about the worst shedder I have ever seen. I can't believe the guy is not completely bald with the amount of hair he deposits around the house on a regular basis. It's everywhere. Plus, it's almost like it has little barbs on it that makes it stick to everything. Even though Dexter is a nice soft dog to pet, once his hairs leave his body, they're closely related to porcupine quills.
After I made the shedding discovery, I tossed the Fido Fleece into the washing machine, and dried it (tumble cool) according to the manufacturers instructions. Let me tell you, it was cathartic to be cleaning perfectly-contained pet hair from the dryer's lint filter instead of from all over the house.
