You're looking at Chanel, the world's oldest dog. She's a spry 20 years old, and has gained so many years by eating a diet of table scraps her entire life.

She seems to have a penchant for houndstooth dog sweaters to avoid those infernal drafts, and wears only one of her fleece-lined dog boots.

She also has to wear special goggles because of her cataracts.

Germany, apparently looking for something to obsess about now that The Hoff (don't click that) is fading, is now completely enraptured by this dog.

Just as there are more flatulence related iPhone applications than you'd think would be necessary (iFart Mobile, Mega Fart, Atomic Fart, Remote Fart, Pass the Gas... 25 and counting!), there seems to be a developing glut of sadistic cat torture apps.

What's the deal? In most of the games, the goal is ostensibly to save cute kittens. But most of the apps take Dr. Evil-like pleasure in their torture and/or demise when it eventually comes about. Of course, Dr. Evil himself was a benevolent master to Mr. Bigglesworth.

Where does that leave these apps? They, sir, are worse than Dr. Evil!

How Much Poop Will You Scoop?

As the owner of pet site who happens to do almost all of his own programming, I get to indulge in my own silly ideas all the time.

Case in Point: The Dog Poop Calculator. That's right. You can enter the breed of dog you have, and the calculator takes the typical weight, food intake and lifespan of that breed to tell you exactly how many pounds of dog doo you will be scooping over the course of your dog's life.

It will even tell you the equivalent in number of iPhones, Big Macs and VW Beetles.

Even though we've sold Fido Fleece at BaxterBoo.com for over 2 years, I've only recently become a rabid fan and started singing Fido Fleece's praises.
