Would you trust yourself to wear something worth $4.2 million? Would you trust your dog to?
Riwin Jirapolsek, a Thai jewelry designer, made his 15-year-old Maltese a tiara out of diamonds and precious emeralds given to him by his mother. This dog had its day on the runway, showcasing the tiara – worth $4.2 million – at a dog show in Bangkok.
It took the designer 2 months to complete the piece that is made from titanium and encrusted with 250-carats of jewels. The designer doesn’t plan to sell the piece, but already has plans for more jewelry and hair clips for his male dog Kanune.
Jirapolsek said, "I will make a hair clip next time because my dog has to wear clips everyday otherwise its fur will block its view.”
It seems that the negative state of the global economy didn’t hurt the dog show in Bangkok. Many dogs were dressed up in elaborate costumes and accessories.
BaxterBoo.com doesn’t carry dog jewelry worth $4.2 million, but we do carry some adorable dog accessories and dog costumes.
