At BaxterBoo.com, we like the idea of getting your dog geared up for the big game with a dog footbll jersey, but, is it really tasteful for NFL.com to allow personalized Michael Vick dog jerseys?
That's right, on NFL.com, people can customize dog jerseys, putting any number and name on any NFL team's jersey. Well, now that Michael Vick is back in the league (after being convicted and serving time for running a dogfighting ring), people can order a jersey with Vick #7 on the back...for their dog. It just seems a bit odd, maybe ironic, with a little bit of wrong mixed in.
Should NFLShop.com disallow the use of a Philadelphia Eagles jersey combined with the number 7 and "Vick" on their personalized dog jerseys, out of sensitivity to the serious and disgusting act of dogfighting? Or should these jerseys remain available, more as a joke?

Aug 24, 2009 at 11:29 PM Absolutely, I say let the dogs exploit this a!#hole for a change. Oops! Can I say that?
Aug 25, 2009 at 4:49 PM Absolutely not!
Aug 25, 2009 at 5:01 PM Just think of the possibilities, a jersey wtih MV in a dog house, or MV fighting Goddogza, or just choose a team that beats the Eagles this year, and have a pic of them putting MV on a leash, etc. Give all the profits to the SPCA. I'm just saying....
Aug 29, 2009 at 11:28 AM Sick. Just sick. They should not be selling these shirts. This man is a monster. There is a World Wide protest on September 13 and I am one of the organizers for the Indianapolis protest. I am blown away that the NFL has allowed him to play. If I were a convicted felon and animal abuser, my employer would certainly not allow me to come back to work. The NFL is a place where kids look up to the players. Vick is NO role model for children.
