This may sound a little crazy (and I agree), but in case you didn't know that your dog eats, sleeps, and poops all day long, there is a device that helps you monitor what your dog is doing while you are not home. It is called a SNIF Tag.
It's like a nanny cam without the video and scandals. The SNIF Tag is a device attached to your dog's collar that reports his activity into a computer program, and you can then monitor his daily activities, such as eating, sleeping, exercise (or lack of), and encounters (assuming all your neighbors have one too).
It might be a little overkill considering dogs aren't really complex beings. However, after doing a little research, it could be a handy tool for some pet owners. You can monitor your dog's health and activity history, and make alterations based on the data. Think, if you have an overweight dog that doesn't get much exercise, maybe start feeding him less food. Or maybe your dog walker is claiming to walk around all of Central Park each day. Now you will know the truth about your dog.
It seems to be a whole community for dog lovers. You can create a profile (for you), view photos, and chat with other dog lovers. You can also compare your dog to others in your "network" (seems a little unfair, kind of like comparing yourself to models in magazines).
Maybe it's right for you, but I am pretty sure I know that my dog is doing one of the these few things right now: sleeping, eating (hopefully just dog food), pooping (preferably outside), or walking around (looking for a place to sleep).
