Cat Café

If cats on the counters and little hairs in your tea don't bother you at all, then you are in luck! Similar to the Dogler trend, Cat Cafes are popping up all over Tokyo, providing a place for the cat-less to go and spend time with furry felines.

Isn't this just like going to a pet store though? Nope, the reason it's called a Café is there is a small menu of drinks and snacks to enjoy. Even more impressive is the menu of cats that these cafes are providing. The café is home to the cats, and they have a wide variety of cat breeds to please the patrons. Unlike a normal café, there are cat houses, scratching posts, and cat trees scattered among the couches and tables for humans.

So, what could be an allergy sufferer's nightmare, could be a haven to some. Meet up with your cat-lovin' friends for a cup o' joe and play with cats or sneek a snuggle with a sleepy one.

Because Tokyo is such a metropolis, living situations don't always allow for pets. The petting-zoo-come-coffee-shop-hybrid Cat Cafes are popping up all over the heavily populated areas, so the cat-less can experience the love and warmth of cats.
