Hey Dog, Go Fetch Me a Beer!

That’s right, it's possible. There is a new reality TV show in the works, aimed at teaching old dogs new tricks. Hopefully they go step-by-step for those of us taking notes at home. The series, tentatively named “Fetch Me A Beer,” is currently filming episodes and should begin airing in October.

How great would it be to train your dog to do crazy acrobatic tricks, ride a bike, use the toilet, and yes, fetch you a beer? The show’s star, dog trainer Zak George, says it is possible and you can see it for yourself on the Animal Planet show. The show follows George as he teaches many dogs new skills and unique tricks.

So far, George has filmed 8 episodes including one where he teaches a Border Collie, Max, to do amazing tricks, including leaping off his back and catching a Frisbee in mid air. The show will also feature a dog that George trained to bowl – yes, bowl as in throw a heavy ball and try to knock down pins.

George’s theory on dog training is, "The dogs are easy. It's the people who are more challenging. There's nothing we can't attempt to teach a dog."

Some other amazing tricks to look out for on the show include having a dog to help a human land a date, teaching a cat to use a toilet, and fetching a cold one from the fridge.

It’s going to be awesome! We’ll be sure to let you know once the series is scheduled to air on Animal Planet.
