Get Back into the Giving Season

Giving a Little Means a Lot

As many of you know, and for those that don't, we are based out of the Denver area in beautiful Colorado. Our local pet shelter is the Denver Dumb Friends League. On January 27th, 2012, the Denver Dumb Friends League will be holding their 15th annual "Pledges for Pets Telethon" on Fox 31/KDVR. This 5 hour telethon will be comprised of stories from past adopters, meet and greet's with adoptable pets, which includes cats, dogs, rabbits, and other small pets.

What is the Goal, and Where Does it Go?

The Goal this year is to raise in excess of $300,000. These funds help provide:

  • Care for more than 19,000 animals that will travel in and out of the doors at DDFL in 2013 alone
  • Help abused and neglected horses at the DDFL's Equine Center
  • Provide feed, veterinary services, and training for the animals at the shelter

Last year 19,851 animals were either adopted to new homes or reunited with their owners by the DDFL. The Denver Dumb Friends League does not only deal with adoptions. They also provide services such as lost and found, humane education, behavior training, foster care, animal curelty investigations and spay/neuter surgeries at reduced fees.

What Can you Do to Help?

You can donate today at DDFL.org/telethon and click on the "Donate Online Now" link or Call 303-751-5772! Otherwise, tune in January 27th from 12:00pm - 5:00pm and be ready to be inspired to help!
