Holy Carpet! Tales of a Bored Border Collie

main image

When my family brought Buttercup (an adorable Border Collie puppy) into our family last year, we had no idea what we were in for. Such amazing enthusiasm, love, intelligence and...destruction!

Fortunately, we picked out some great dog toys to keep our furry Einstein busy. Not so fortunately, we didn't notice when the toys got lost or slowly wore out over the following months. Just like any family with kids and pets and responsibilities, we got distracted.

One morning, we awoke to find several holes chewed in the carpet! Our older dogs immediately ratted out the juvenile delinquent, but we could already tell she did it. She was hiding under the kitchen table and avoiding eye contact.

But how could we blame her? We hadn't gotten her a new toy in months, and the old ones had been misplaced or worn out (as all eventually do).

Luckily, the day had a happy ending. We got her a great new toy (the Busy Buddy Tug-A-Jug pictured above), and she played with it non-stop for 5 hours before passing out at midnight.

We knew we had to remember to regularly get her a new toy from then on. And not just to save our carpet, but because she's part of our family and deserves the best life we can give her!

So we've decided to make it easy for us and our BaxterBoo friends to rejuvenate the fun in their dog (or cat's) life each month. We've taken great care in putting together our new Toy of the Month Club, and have already signed ourselves up for it. We're already enjoying it, and know you and your pet will as well.

With subscriptions starting at just $9.97 per month (and no long-term commitments!), we hope you'll give it a try!
