Stranded Dog Rescued by FDNY From Window Ledge

main image

James Morgan captured an amazing video of a dog that was stranded on a Brooklyn window ledge July 11.

Somehow the crafty critter had gotten through the safety bars of his second-story apartment and couldn't figure out how to get back in. Onlookers were quite concerned and offered support and suggestions for the FDNY worker as he tried to gain the nervous Chow's trust. The Chow was offered water and treats as the skillful rescuer snapped a leash to the dog's harness in case the dog should fall. The dog did slip a few times.

Eventually, the rescuer was able to coax the pup into his arms and the safety of the bucket lift. The crowd cheered with the rescue.
