Which State Loves Their Pest Most?

main image

Just like you want a home with a big kitchen to cook and entertain, a big patio and yard to enjoy the fresh air and relax, and a master bathroom with his and her sinks, your pets have wants and needs too. Room to run and play, plenty of fire hydrants to pee on, and fresh air; these are the things I would imagine a dog would want in a home.

It's no wonder Vermont has been crowned the top pet friendly state. With over 70% of it's residents owning a pet, it is the place to be. I can only imagine the dog park parties are to die for! Big cities like New York fall near the 50% mark, and Columbia brings up the rear with only 22% of it's residents owning pets.

But of course pet's cost money too; according to ABC News, in 2011 nearly $28 billion was spent on veterinary services by households with pets.

Only the top 10 and bottom 10 states were listed on the survey results.  See if your state made the cut below!
