How To Measure Your Dog's Paws!
Proper footwear fit is essential to a fun day out (or in). Here's how to measure your pet's paws...
With your pet's paw on the ground, measure from the tip of the claws (those have to fit inside the shoe too) to the back of where the paw touches the ground, which is just behind the pad.
While your pet's paw is still on the ground, measure from side to side at the widest point of your pet's paw, which is usually near the base of the toes.
Handy Tip: Try having your pet step on a piece of paper, then trace around the paw. Then, while your pet is off eating your houseplants or terrorizing the neighborhood, you can measure the traced outline in peace.
How To Measure Your Dog!
I have worked with the finest furry tailors in the world, and am here to share my bounty of knowledge. Here's how to measure your pet...
Measure from the base of the tail (where it connects to the hindquarters) up to where the collar typically sits at the base of the neck, then follow up with a generous back scratch.
This is measured by giving your pet a
hug, during which you measure the entire circumference (all the way around) at the widest point of your pet's chest. This is typically right behind the front legs.
First, plenty of kisses. Then, measure the neck's circumference
(the distance around it) at the point where the collar sits.
Important Sizing Note: The given measurements are the dimensions of the actual product, not of the pet they fit. After measuring your pet, make sure all measurements fit within the following dimensions (with a little room to spare in the chest and neck).

I have been shopping for a long time to find dog boots for my greyhound. I even called BaxterBoo to talk with a representative and have them help me measure and recommend a product. These boots came yesterday. Although I feel they were made well for the price they would not fit a paw. The rubberized portion which would fit on the "ankle" was so so narrow that these boots would not , by any means fit my dogs paws. He is tolerant and although this boot would fit the paw (width and length) you cannot get them on! I would not recommend these boots unless you have a snake, they would easily fit a snake, but you would only need one. :-) I was so frustrated with my purchase because I even asked one of their employees for product assistance. Plus, I had to pay the return postage. I am out boots and money, I would suggest if you need dog boots ---go to a store, try the boots on your pet. It is a huge gamble to order on line. :-(

Since I order a specialty item (1 logo only) I have had to wait for the item(s), but BaxterBoo has kept me in the loop regarding when items would become available and ship on time. Do wish you had more dachshund specific items available - most items regarding style, size and fit will not fit dachshunds.
