How To Measure Your Dog's Paws!
Proper footwear fit is essential to a fun day out (or in). Here's how to measure your pet's paws...
With your pet's paw on the ground, measure from the tip of the claws (those have to fit inside the shoe too) to the back of where the paw touches the ground, which is just behind the pad.
While your pet's paw is still on the ground, measure from side to side at the widest point of your pet's paw, which is usually near the base of the toes.
Handy Tip: Try having your pet step on a piece of paper, then trace around the paw. Then, while your pet is off eating your houseplants or terrorizing the neighborhood, you can measure the traced outline in peace.
How To Measure Your Dog!
I have worked with the finest furry tailors in the world, and am here to share my bounty of knowledge. Here's how to measure your pet...
Measure from the base of the tail (where it connects to the hindquarters) up to where the collar typically sits at the base of the neck, then follow up with a generous back scratch.
This is measured by giving your pet a
hug, during which you measure the entire circumference (all the way around) at the widest point of your pet's chest. This is typically right behind the front legs.
First, plenty of kisses. Then, measure the neck's circumference
(the distance around it) at the point where the collar sits.
Important Sizing Note: The given measurements are the dimensions of the actual product, not of the pet they fit. After measuring your pet, make sure all measurements fit within the following dimensions (with a little room to spare in the chest and neck).

Why We Love It:
We love the dedication Lakeland Mills displays for quality in every piece of wood. The Cedar Lodge Dog Bed with Vertical Rails features a header and footer beautifully hand-crafted from Northern White Cedar and a slat bottom that fits standard-sized mattresses. Wood is a great option for dog beds as it doesn't emit toxins like petroleum-based plastic. Wood also doesn't overheat or tarnish and is excellent for resistance to insects and decay.
Lakeland Mills is dedicated to excellence and to reducing negative environmental impact. By purchasing the bulk of their wood in their home state of Michigan, Lakeland Mills reduces the use of precious fossil fuels and their carbon footprint. They use use scrap wood to fire their kiln and supplement the heat in their plant and utilize leftover logs from the log home industry. By establishing a recycling program for their plant and community, Lakeland Mills has reduced their landfill waste by over 75%! The company also works hard to promote forest preservation efforts.
