How To Measure Your Dog's Paws!
Proper footwear fit is essential to a fun day out (or in). Here's how to measure your pet's paws...
With your pet's paw on the ground, measure from the tip of the claws (those have to fit inside the shoe too) to the back of where the paw touches the ground, which is just behind the pad.
While your pet's paw is still on the ground, measure from side to side at the widest point of your pet's paw, which is usually near the base of the toes.
Handy Tip: Try having your pet step on a piece of paper, then trace around the paw. Then, while your pet is off eating your houseplants or terrorizing the neighborhood, you can measure the traced outline in peace.
How To Measure Your Dog!
I have worked with the finest furry tailors in the world, and am here to share my bounty of knowledge. Here's how to measure your pet...
Measure from the base of the tail (where it connects to the hindquarters) up to where the collar typically sits at the base of the neck, then follow up with a generous back scratch.
This is measured by giving your pet a
hug, during which you measure the entire circumference (all the way around) at the widest point of your pet's chest. This is typically right behind the front legs.
First, plenty of kisses. Then, measure the neck's circumference
(the distance around it) at the point where the collar sits.
Important Sizing Note: The given measurements are the dimensions of the actual product, not of the pet they fit. After measuring your pet, make sure all measurements fit within the following dimensions (with a little room to spare in the chest and neck).

Arrived quickly but ordered too large so had to send it back. Next size downs fits perfectly. Spike has a few coats and sweaters but really seems to like this one. The sleeves are nice and there is no restrictions in his movement. Velcro closures never seem to work well after a while so I especially love the concealed zipper closure.

Great fit. Anyone who has a boxer mix knows how rarely you can find products that fit their shape!

The Cloud Chaser jacket is a well made jacket suited for cool (above freezing) days, but runs very snug. I bought the Cloud Chaser jacket for both my dogs (one size small, one size medium) in the same size they wear in RuffWear harnesses and another RuffWear jacket (all Polartec version that zips up like this jacket). I also double checked their measurements before ordering and they should've had a little room to spare. This jacket seems much snugger than their other RuffWear gear, to the point it seems uncomfortable for them. However, sizing up didn't help, as the next size up was too long (covered up privates) when I tried the medium for my size small dog. The jacket is also very light weight and though good for cooler days (above freezing), wouldn't be a good winter jacket.
Great fit; high-quality

This is my 4th cloud chaser, unfortunately I ordered too small for my new rescue, so returning for mediums. I can't say enough good about these, they last forever, are ez on and off, keep dogs warm, dry in rain or snow. So lightweight and comfy, my lasa poo wore hers indoors at times between walks.
Doggies love chasing clouds!

I have now purchased the 2nd set of two cloud chasers, over the past 8 yrs.. First set of 2 lasted 8 years and were worn for 3 walks a day, rain or snow, in Mn.
Zipper broke on one, after about 5 yrs, and cloud chaser was replaced by Ruffwear, at no charge. 2nd set is for a new dog and may need larger size, but no problem with great customer service at Baxter Boo!
I especially love that these are easy on/off, quick drying and keep doggies comfortable, warm, clean, and dry. I had tried many other dog jackets before finding these, and doubt I will ever find anything better.
This might be the coat we have been searching for.

This is the 2nd coat from Ruff Wear Ive ordered and returned because it was too small. The Cloud Chaser and the Sun Shower were both a size too small according to the size chart. Before returning the CC I took a good look at it though. It reminds me of a lined shorty wet suit. In a way, the material seems alot like neoprene, though is waterproof. The material is very flexible and seems form fitting. A bit too tight and short in the length on my xlg dog but I am excited at the prospect of a fitted coat that a basic T could go under for colder weather. If you order Ruff Wear coats I highly suggest a size up.
Love this Jacket!

I bought 2 of these for my dogs. They fit great and the lower belly side is elastic so it stretches and it very form fitting. The back is a heavier very durable material. And the reflective strips are very bright when a light is shone on them. The zipper is concealed and getting it on and off my girls is fast and easy. I put my hand through each leg hole and pull each paw through. Then wrap the jacket around the dog's neck and zip it up. It provides warmth and is water proof for those rainy nights. Easy to wash, just toss it in the washing machine.

Bought this for my Vizsla. Fits her exactly perfect. It repels the wet and snow like a ski jacket and is fleeced lined. Perfect for the north Woods in Minnesota. This covers back to the base of her tail and most of her tunny. May go back and get a different color. Very well made.
Every dog needs a soft shell coat!

I love this coat! I have to say that I really think that the step-in design that RuffWear uses for several of their coats is just brilliant. This coat works perfectly in late fall/early spring, or even on those particularly nice winter days. It is water and wind resistant and it fits really well.
We have all seen coats that tip, spin, or gap and I can't imagine that the dogs enjoy them much. This coat design is brilliant. It works with your dog, stays in place, and doesn't hinder their movement in any way. I'm also a huge fan of the fact that it covers my dog's belly.
If I had to nit-pick one thing, I would just mention to owners of male dogs: double check how far back the belly coverage goes. It its too long, it might get peed on.

We needed something to help keep our standard poodle warm during the cold weather when she's outside a lot or in the vehicle and it's worked perfectly! She seems very comfortable in it! I would like to have one that's a little longer so although the medium size fits, I will probably order a second one in Large just to get the length...that would also enable me to put a layer under it when camping or ice fishing. I love the "step in" design - easy on/off & it has a reflective stripe. I was a little worried about the zipper but there is a flap to protect her hair/skin so nothing get's caught in it. We're not into "girly" dog wear so that was another reason I chose this coat. This is my second "RuffWear" product purchase and I'm extremely satisfied with the product and the customer service at BaxterBoo!

I like your products, I only wish that y'all would carry more of the smaller sizes like XX small or micro or zero ( 0 ) for our teacup
