We got Daisy Mae when she was 8 weeks old and weighed just 1 pound. We fell in love with her instantly! Six days later we were at an Emergency Vet and Daisy Mae was very near death. She had tested positive for Parvo. Her outcome was grim.
Her body completely limp. She couldn't stand, hold her head up or eat or drink. I used a syringe to give her water so she would not dehydrate. We didn't care the cost of her treatment, I just knew we couldn't loose this little girl after just 6 days. They came up with her treatment plan and after talking to the doctor and other caretakers knew we had taken her to the right place. It was so hard leaving her. I had a talk with her before leaving telling her I knew she was a fighter and to continue fighting and told the vet to take good care of our baby girl. 7 a.m. the next morning we got a phone call, I was expecting the worse but then was told that she was doing great and eating like a champ! I was crying tears of joy! We were able to pick her up just 24 hours after leaving her there! Brought her home and she went wild running through the house and has not slowed down. We just celebrated her 1st birthday April 3rd and have no idea what we ever did without her! She is our PRIDE and JOY!
