How To Measure Your Dog's Paws!
Proper footwear fit is essential to a fun day out (or in). Here's how to measure your pet's paws...
With your pet's paw on the ground, measure from the tip of the claws (those have to fit inside the shoe too) to the back of where the paw touches the ground, which is just behind the pad.
While your pet's paw is still on the ground, measure from side to side at the widest point of your pet's paw, which is usually near the base of the toes.
Handy Tip: Try having your pet step on a piece of paper, then trace around the paw. Then, while your pet is off eating your houseplants or terrorizing the neighborhood, you can measure the traced outline in peace.
How To Measure Your Dog!
I have worked with the finest furry tailors in the world, and am here to share my bounty of knowledge. Here's how to measure your pet...
Measure from the base of the tail (where it connects to the hindquarters) up to where the collar typically sits at the base of the neck, then follow up with a generous back scratch.
This is measured by giving your pet a
hug, during which you measure the entire circumference (all the way around) at the widest point of your pet's chest. This is typically right behind the front legs.
First, plenty of kisses. Then, measure the neck's circumference
(the distance around it) at the point where the collar sits.
Important Sizing Note: The given measurements are the dimensions of the actual product, not of the pet they fit. After measuring your pet, make sure all measurements fit within the following dimensions (with a little room to spare in the chest and neck).

The medium works for our 8lbers. Tough to get over a dewclaw but once you do, they stay on better than most!

I think these are the greatest, I have a full Dr Seuss Christmas, so these fit in, nicely made, didn't seem to bother my dogs paws while she wore them throughout the day, nice stretch to them, runs true to size although when I got them I didn't think they would fit, but they do. they look so tiny.

These were way too tiny for my dogs so I had to send them back. But they were cute.

These are not just boots that someone thought would appeal to the over indulgent pet owner (thus increasing the manufacturers revenue). They ARE practical & necessary for protecting your pets pads from unseen, unknown, unaware situations (glass, sharp rocks, toxic chemicals, scalding summer pavement, etc.). They (Ruffwear) use the same workmanship & materials that are on high-end "Human Item's" while still taking into consideration the season it will be used in & overall comfort & safety for your pet. Their "Customer Service Department" is a walk through the past (they will go out of their way to help anyway possible so their product is understood & utilized to its fullest potential). Their pride stems knowing that they are not just a representative working for a line of pet products, but that they represent the overall "Best" product on the market. I'm on a fixed income, EVERY penny is accounted for & necessity is the key for ANY purchase. Ruffwear IS a necessity!
