How To Measure Your Dog's Paws!
Proper footwear fit is essential to a fun day out (or in). Here's how to measure your pet's paws...
With your pet's paw on the ground, measure from the tip of the claws (those have to fit inside the shoe too) to the back of where the paw touches the ground, which is just behind the pad.
While your pet's paw is still on the ground, measure from side to side at the widest point of your pet's paw, which is usually near the base of the toes.
Handy Tip: Try having your pet step on a piece of paper, then trace around the paw. Then, while your pet is off eating your houseplants or terrorizing the neighborhood, you can measure the traced outline in peace.
How To Measure Your Dog!
I have worked with the finest furry tailors in the world, and am here to share my bounty of knowledge. Here's how to measure your pet...
Measure from the base of the tail (where it connects to the hindquarters) up to where the collar typically sits at the base of the neck, then follow up with a generous back scratch.
This is measured by giving your pet a
hug, during which you measure the entire circumference (all the way around) at the widest point of your pet's chest. This is typically right behind the front legs.
First, plenty of kisses. Then, measure the neck's circumference
(the distance around it) at the point where the collar sits.
Important Sizing Note: The given measurements are the dimensions of the actual product, not of the pet they fit. After measuring your pet, make sure all measurements fit within the following dimensions (with a little room to spare in the chest and neck).
Show off your All American Dog with the Grand Old Flag Satin Lined Dog Collar by 2 Hound Design!
Flag Print on satin collar
Side release buckle
Nickel Plated Brass hardware
Made in the USA!
Why We Love It:
Perk up your patriotic pup this season with the Grand Old Flag Satin Lined Dog Collar. The Satin Lined collars are great for all breeds and sizes. We start with a polypro webbing, which is lightweight and flexible, but tests out at 1100 lbs of tensile strength and will hold any size dog in check. We completely wrap the webbing in coordinating satin, which hides the edges of the webbing, and prevents the it from ever touching the dog's neck. We then sew the ribbon or fabric on top of the collar and finish it off with Nickel Plated Brass hardware, for a completed collar that is just as beautiful as it is structurally sound.
