How To Measure Your Dog's Paws!
Proper footwear fit is essential to a fun day out (or in). Here's how to measure your pet's paws...
With your pet's paw on the ground, measure from the tip of the claws (those have to fit inside the shoe too) to the back of where the paw touches the ground, which is just behind the pad.
While your pet's paw is still on the ground, measure from side to side at the widest point of your pet's paw, which is usually near the base of the toes.
Handy Tip: Try having your pet step on a piece of paper, then trace around the paw. Then, while your pet is off eating your houseplants or terrorizing the neighborhood, you can measure the traced outline in peace.
How To Measure Your Dog!
I have worked with the finest furry tailors in the world, and am here to share my bounty of knowledge. Here's how to measure your pet...
Measure from the base of the tail (where it connects to the hindquarters) up to where the collar typically sits at the base of the neck, then follow up with a generous back scratch.
This is measured by giving your pet a
hug, during which you measure the entire circumference (all the way around) at the widest point of your pet's chest. This is typically right behind the front legs.
First, plenty of kisses. Then, measure the neck's circumference
(the distance around it) at the point where the collar sits.
Important Sizing Note: The given measurements are the dimensions of the actual product, not of the pet they fit. After measuring your pet, make sure all measurements fit within the following dimensions (with a little room to spare in the chest and neck).

This is a very cute costume, but it does have some flaws. I found that it doesn't really fit my Cavalier. the ear holes in the cap aren't big enough for his ears and the sleeves on the costume are too tight. I'm going to take a pair of scissors to the cap and cut the ear holes bigger. I'll have to add a piece for the sleeves to make it fit comfortably. I'd recommend this product for dogs with a slender build and narrow ears.

Our Aussie Terrier looks great in this costume. He is 15lbs and the medium size fit him perfectly except the little sleeves were a bit restrictive for freedom of movement. He was very stiff and didn't move well with the sleeves that are sewn into the costume. I have decide to cut out the sleeves so that it is more like a vest. Hopefully the adjustment will make the body suit tolerable to our free spirited dog. The cape is well made and adorable. The velcro closures were well placed to keep the costume on. He will wear it long enough for a photograph and to show it off on halloween when the trick or treaters come to visit.
