How To Measure Your Dog's Paws!
Proper footwear fit is essential to a fun day out (or in). Here's how to measure your pet's paws...
With your pet's paw on the ground, measure from the tip of the claws (those have to fit inside the shoe too) to the back of where the paw touches the ground, which is just behind the pad.
While your pet's paw is still on the ground, measure from side to side at the widest point of your pet's paw, which is usually near the base of the toes.
Handy Tip: Try having your pet step on a piece of paper, then trace around the paw. Then, while your pet is off eating your houseplants or terrorizing the neighborhood, you can measure the traced outline in peace.
How To Measure Your Dog!
I have worked with the finest furry tailors in the world, and am here to share my bounty of knowledge. Here's how to measure your pet...
Measure from the base of the tail (where it connects to the hindquarters) up to where the collar typically sits at the base of the neck, then follow up with a generous back scratch.
This is measured by giving your pet a
hug, during which you measure the entire circumference (all the way around) at the widest point of your pet's chest. This is typically right behind the front legs.
First, plenty of kisses. Then, measure the neck's circumference
(the distance around it) at the point where the collar sits.
Important Sizing Note: The given measurements are the dimensions of the actual product, not of the pet they fit. After measuring your pet, make sure all measurements fit within the following dimensions (with a little room to spare in the chest and neck).
**Please note: We do not take returns of costumes after October 15.

We love it! the only issue we have is that the pants kept falling down, but that was because of our dog's skinny hips. We entered her in a costume contest and she won. We also got many comments on what a cute costume it was.
Adoraable girl costume!

The Hurtta fleece jumpsuit fits my dog Gretel better than all the others I have tried in the last several years. Gretel is a mix and hard to fit. She is long for her size (25% dachshund), petite (25% chihuahua) and 50% unknown, but she has rather long legs... Her back is 14" long and I got the Size 14M. Suit is made to be 14.5 inches long; the extra length pushed her tail (which is usually up Chihuahua-like) down, so I altered the suit slightly by letting out the stitching on either side of the end of the zipper. By next winter, I will sew on a snap to hold that part of the zipper back. Very well made and nice quality fleece. If she gets hot with the high collar, I can unzip it down her back a little. There's a cinch around the chest to make it snug.
