How To Measure Your Dog's Paws!
Proper footwear fit is essential to a fun day out (or in). Here's how to measure your pet's paws...
With your pet's paw on the ground, measure from the tip of the claws (those have to fit inside the shoe too) to the back of where the paw touches the ground, which is just behind the pad.
While your pet's paw is still on the ground, measure from side to side at the widest point of your pet's paw, which is usually near the base of the toes.
Handy Tip: Try having your pet step on a piece of paper, then trace around the paw. Then, while your pet is off eating your houseplants or terrorizing the neighborhood, you can measure the traced outline in peace.
How To Measure Your Dog!
I have worked with the finest furry tailors in the world, and am here to share my bounty of knowledge. Here's how to measure your pet...
Measure from the base of the tail (where it connects to the hindquarters) up to where the collar typically sits at the base of the neck, then follow up with a generous back scratch.
This is measured by giving your pet a
hug, during which you measure the entire circumference (all the way around) at the widest point of your pet's chest. This is typically right behind the front legs.
First, plenty of kisses. Then, measure the neck's circumference
(the distance around it) at the point where the collar sits.
Important Sizing Note: The given measurements are the dimensions of the actual product, not of the pet they fit. After measuring your pet, make sure all measurements fit within the following dimensions (with a little room to spare in the chest and neck).

Chase is wearing the Blue Hurtta vest I purchased at Baxterboo.
It was 85 outside and decided to give it a go.
the verdict- GREAT ITEM.
I checked him every 10 mins "like a crazy Daddy" and he was cool to the touch "his vital organs"
Interesting about it is that as it starts to dry the color Blue starts turn to turn lighter then when you first put it on which is a great indicator. It's great for walking my senior Boy in the high heat knowing he's cool.
Remember you want the vest to be slighty loose because it needs air to flow under and over it
Next we'll try the booties :)
Really a must have.

Kept my dog cool for about an hour, the fit was accurate to their measurements, wish the larger sizes would have a ring to attach a leash to so you wouldn't have to have a harness on also

Our Shiba was having a rough time with the 90-110 degree days we were getting. We decided to try one of these thinking it might help. We were very skeptical, especially after soaking it with water. It was a little tough getting a dog who hates water to get into a dripping wet vest, but once on it seemed less obtrusive. When you put your hand between the dog and vest it is very cool. Honestly, this works! We used it mainly when the heat was too much and she walked a lot further and seem more comfortable. Very happy with the construction and performance of the vest. Just wish they had a couple more color choices (hence only the 4 star).

I got this for my little yorkie Coco, she loves it on our bike rides, stays nice and cool in her basket. She likes to stand up and see what is going on. On a walk it's a little bit heavy for her, she's 3.6lbs. I purchased another one for my boy Chase, he's 7.5lbs and he thinks its great on a walk! !

Order came lot sooner than anticipated which was wonderful. I actually bought the harness for my cat because it is secure but is also comfortable. That ia a whole new market for the harnesses.
