How To Measure Your Dog's Paws!
Proper footwear fit is essential to a fun day out (or in). Here's how to measure your pet's paws...
With your pet's paw on the ground, measure from the tip of the claws (those have to fit inside the shoe too) to the back of where the paw touches the ground, which is just behind the pad.
While your pet's paw is still on the ground, measure from side to side at the widest point of your pet's paw, which is usually near the base of the toes.
Handy Tip: Try having your pet step on a piece of paper, then trace around the paw. Then, while your pet is off eating your houseplants or terrorizing the neighborhood, you can measure the traced outline in peace.
How To Measure Your Dog!
I have worked with the finest furry tailors in the world, and am here to share my bounty of knowledge. Here's how to measure your pet...
Measure from the base of the tail (where it connects to the hindquarters) up to where the collar typically sits at the base of the neck, then follow up with a generous back scratch.
This is measured by giving your pet a
hug, during which you measure the entire circumference (all the way around) at the widest point of your pet's chest. This is typically right behind the front legs.
First, plenty of kisses. Then, measure the neck's circumference
(the distance around it) at the point where the collar sits.
Important Sizing Note: The given measurements are the dimensions of the actual product, not of the pet they fit. After measuring your pet, make sure all measurements fit within the following dimensions (with a little room to spare in the chest and neck).

The sizing is a little off so I’m glad I bought it bigger so he could grow into it. The leg straps should be a little more durable but otherwise it’s a great coat!!

Love this jacket for my little yorkie. It's easy to put on and off and covers him up to both keep him dry in the rain and warm during cooler days. The jacket is both stylish and practical. The materials are top notch. I highly recommend this jacket...

I bought this item because my 130lb, long haired Great Pyrenees hates going out in the rain, he loves running through water up to his knees but rain = a refusal! Unfortunately I ordered this too late for him to wear in the recent downpours so I can not comment on it's ability to keep him dry. WRT the fit, it is pyr-fect for this long bodied, long legged boy. Often these types of items are far too short and he looks like he's wearing a 1970's style T-shirt that's shrunk in the wash! this however has been thought about during manufacture and made to fit a dogs longer back; it covers his bottom and his neck. The quality looks and feels fantastic. The access slot for his harness clip is a great feature. One thing I would have really liked is a little more in the way of reflective strips/patterns. I bought the black jacket because this is all that was available/in stock, in his size, when I purchased.
