How To Measure Your Dog's Paws!
Proper footwear fit is essential to a fun day out (or in). Here's how to measure your pet's paws...
With your pet's paw on the ground, measure from the tip of the claws (those have to fit inside the shoe too) to the back of where the paw touches the ground, which is just behind the pad.
While your pet's paw is still on the ground, measure from side to side at the widest point of your pet's paw, which is usually near the base of the toes.
Handy Tip: Try having your pet step on a piece of paper, then trace around the paw. Then, while your pet is off eating your houseplants or terrorizing the neighborhood, you can measure the traced outline in peace.
How To Measure Your Dog!
I have worked with the finest furry tailors in the world, and am here to share my bounty of knowledge. Here's how to measure your pet...
Measure from the base of the tail (where it connects to the hindquarters) up to where the collar typically sits at the base of the neck, then follow up with a generous back scratch.
This is measured by giving your pet a
hug, during which you measure the entire circumference (all the way around) at the widest point of your pet's chest. This is typically right behind the front legs.
First, plenty of kisses. Then, measure the neck's circumference
(the distance around it) at the point where the collar sits.
Important Sizing Note: The given measurements are the dimensions of the actual product, not of the pet they fit. After measuring your pet, make sure all measurements fit within the following dimensions (with a little room to spare in the chest and neck).

Jet stream cooling vest is a very good way to walk my dog during hot days. My dog has black fur which gets really hot during the summer time. I put it on my dog and pour a little bit of water. My dog's back stays much cooler for a good time. The only problem is that unlike the size chart, My dog needs medium size (instead of small). My dog is a border collie whose weight is about 50 lbs; and about 25 inch girth size. According to the ruffwear web site, my dog needs a small size vest; but it is too small. I think there are some ruffwear products whose size recommendations are off. This vest is one of them.
Very effective and neat

My pooch is 1 year 3 month border collie, about 42 lb (19 kg), 24 (25 max) inch girth. According to Ruffwear, small size would fit; but, I chose medium size. It fits very well. (For other Ruffwear products, I always choose small size as they suggest, and it works alright.) The vest is designed to wear very tight so that something like harness should be on top of it. The upper part material is thin nylon; and down part material is a sort of sport-towel. Since the back of my dog is all black, the vest works quite well.

I previously owned a RuffWear cooling vest for my 50-lb Boxer. When I ordered this Jet Stream model for my 70-lb Boxer, I mistakenly thought it was the same as the other one. However, this vest provides cooling only to the chest/belly region. I need a vest that cools the BACK also. Therefore, I am returning this Jet Stream and have ordered the Swamp Cooler model. While the Jet Stream wasn't right for my dog, it may be right for someone else's dog. It's well made, with a sturdy zipper.

I bought the frozen ice cream cone and it was too big for my dog. The frozen bone was better but she still didnt play with it much. She is going through the biting stage right now, I thought it would help her to play and bite that instead of biting me. BaxterBoo has nothing to do with my mistake. I have bought things prior to this and was very satisfied.
