How To Measure Your Dog's Paws!
Proper footwear fit is essential to a fun day out (or in). Here's how to measure your pet's paws...
With your pet's paw on the ground, measure from the tip of the claws (those have to fit inside the shoe too) to the back of where the paw touches the ground, which is just behind the pad.
While your pet's paw is still on the ground, measure from side to side at the widest point of your pet's paw, which is usually near the base of the toes.
Handy Tip: Try having your pet step on a piece of paper, then trace around the paw. Then, while your pet is off eating your houseplants or terrorizing the neighborhood, you can measure the traced outline in peace.
How To Measure Your Dog!
I have worked with the finest furry tailors in the world, and am here to share my bounty of knowledge. Here's how to measure your pet...
Measure from the base of the tail (where it connects to the hindquarters) up to where the collar typically sits at the base of the neck, then follow up with a generous back scratch.
This is measured by giving your pet a
hug, during which you measure the entire circumference (all the way around) at the widest point of your pet's chest. This is typically right behind the front legs.
First, plenty of kisses. Then, measure the neck's circumference
(the distance around it) at the point where the collar sits.
Important Sizing Note: The given measurements are the dimensions of the actual product, not of the pet they fit. After measuring your pet, make sure all measurements fit within the following dimensions (with a little room to spare in the chest and neck).

Why We Love It:
Inspired by climbing rope, this collar is strong, comfortable, and dependable. It works particularly well for dogs that have thick, bushy fur because its low profile allows the collar to settle comfortably in thick fur. One unique and convenient feature standard on all Ruffwear collars: a separate mini D-ring ID attachment to separate tags from the leash for less annoying rattle. Machine wash warm water mild soap hang dry. Matching Knot-A-Leash, Knot-A-Long and Just-A-Cinch sold separately.

Cute and perfect for an outdoorsy adventure! My girls are 70 lb Dobermans and the large size fits them perfectly! And the perfect bonus: the leash holder has a double use of being a bottle opener... Double win!
