How To Measure Your Dog's Paws!
Proper footwear fit is essential to a fun day out (or in). Here's how to measure your pet's paws...
With your pet's paw on the ground, measure from the tip of the claws (those have to fit inside the shoe too) to the back of where the paw touches the ground, which is just behind the pad.
While your pet's paw is still on the ground, measure from side to side at the widest point of your pet's paw, which is usually near the base of the toes.
Handy Tip: Try having your pet step on a piece of paper, then trace around the paw. Then, while your pet is off eating your houseplants or terrorizing the neighborhood, you can measure the traced outline in peace.
How To Measure Your Dog!
I have worked with the finest furry tailors in the world, and am here to share my bounty of knowledge. Here's how to measure your pet...
Measure from the base of the tail (where it connects to the hindquarters) up to where the collar typically sits at the base of the neck, then follow up with a generous back scratch.
This is measured by giving your pet a
hug, during which you measure the entire circumference (all the way around) at the widest point of your pet's chest. This is typically right behind the front legs.
First, plenty of kisses. Then, measure the neck's circumference
(the distance around it) at the point where the collar sits.
Important Sizing Note: The given measurements are the dimensions of the actual product, not of the pet they fit. After measuring your pet, make sure all measurements fit within the following dimensions (with a little room to spare in the chest and neck).

Barley is a two year old male cockapoo rescued from an LA shelter in November of 2012. Sometimes we fly to Indiana and it is cold now so I bought him a winter coat from you. I am sending multiple copies of photos of his coat if you want to use any for marketing. Thanks

Beautifully made jacket just like a human one, but it is VERY BULKY with the fleece in the seams. It is much too restricting on my 7lb Malteses who have short legs which makes the sleeves too cumbersome.
Very Warm but not Very Long

Unfortuantely, this parka isn't long enough to cover our Maltipoo's back. Otherwise, it would be a keeper because it's machine washable and easy to put on.

I was so excited to purchase this parka for my bison. Unfortunately it was way, way too small, especially in the chest. Typically Bob wears a small and I followed the measurements as stated. He barely fit into the parka. I think the item was mis-sized or incorrectly labled. The quality is very decent. The coat is warm which is critical given the east coast horrendous winter weather. I intend to re-order the medium.
Awsome winter coat

We loved the first coat we bought, so we decided to buy a second. These parkas are very well made and heavy duty. We have had a very hard, cold winter and this coat is a lifesaver. Mojo is very happy with his new winter coats.
great doggie parka

These are the cutest parkas, although there are thousands of different of styles and the cutest clothes for dogs and cats. I love just looking and shopping through them all. They keep my Border Terriers really warm. Baxter Boo is a really great company to deal with, they are very warm, accommodating and polite. Thank you so much for working with me. Have a great Holiday season.

Our older dog Chewie has the same kind of parka but in green. We scoured the East Village, NYC for a similar one for his son, Mighty Zeus (even tho he weighs only 4 lbs - he IS mighty). I was thrilled to locate the perfect coat for him on your website. Tried it on him today (phew he didn't mind putting it on) and wow does he look great. He bounced around so it definitely feels good on him. the real test will be when the CCCCCold comes, but since Chewie also the same breed (Yorkie) keeps warm, we are set for the winter. My husband wants to know if you sell human coats as well? Thanks!
