Rex Specs will be new to your dog, so use patience and persistence to help your pet adjust to them.

Start by using the frame without any lenses and keep your dog busy and distracted with something fun. Keep the sessions short and don't allow your pet to try and remove them.

Once they've adjusted to wearing the frames, add the clear lens. Repeat the fun activities while wearing them to help your dog learn its good to keep them on. Finally, introduce the shade lenses in bright conditions.

Rex Specs - Awesome

Rex Specs work great and an excellent design! Took some getting used to - she tried to pull them off a couple of times. Now that she's used to them, its no big deal and she actually waits patiently while I put them on her.

I was concerned that the Rex Specs would be too big. She has a smaller head, seven inches around the front of her face from edge of ear to edge of ear, and they fit just fine. Totally adjustable and very flexible so they bend to mold to her narrow face. They would definitely fit much larger dog heads too. I keep them on the loose side and they look like they are very comfortable for her to wear.

Also, they do not impede her ability to see whatsoever. The frames are completely out of her peripheral field of view.

The lenses do scratch when she enter and exits the doggy door from the metal parts on the sides of the door flap rubbing against the lens. I guess that's a small price to pay if they help save her vision from pannus.

Two dew claws up!
