How To Measure Your Dog's Paws!
Proper footwear fit is essential to a fun day out (or in). Here's how to measure your pet's paws...
With your pet's paw on the ground, measure from the tip of the claws (those have to fit inside the shoe too) to the back of where the paw touches the ground, which is just behind the pad.
While your pet's paw is still on the ground, measure from side to side at the widest point of your pet's paw, which is usually near the base of the toes.
Handy Tip: Try having your pet step on a piece of paper, then trace around the paw. Then, while your pet is off eating your houseplants or terrorizing the neighborhood, you can measure the traced outline in peace.
How To Measure Your Dog!
I have worked with the finest furry tailors in the world, and am here to share my bounty of knowledge. Here's how to measure your pet...
Measure from the base of the tail (where it connects to the hindquarters) up to where the collar typically sits at the base of the neck, then follow up with a generous back scratch.
This is measured by giving your pet a
hug, during which you measure the entire circumference (all the way around) at the widest point of your pet's chest. This is typically right behind the front legs.
First, plenty of kisses. Then, measure the neck's circumference
(the distance around it) at the point where the collar sits.
Important Sizing Note: The given measurements are the dimensions of the actual product, not of the pet they fit. After measuring your pet, make sure all measurements fit within the following dimensions (with a little room to spare in the chest and neck).

The medium Sun Shower Dog Rain Jacket fit my 63 lb pit bull perfectly and also fit over his Ruffwear harness. Though there isn't a hole in the rain jacket to hook a leash to the main harness metal attachment point, I was able to use the loop on the back of the harness while keeping my dog dry. The neck on the jacket isn't adjustable, but the side attachments are. The measurements listed for the jacket seemed pretty accurate. However, my pit bull fell in the middle of the medium range and I'm not sure if a dog with a bigger neck could wear the jacket. The jacket is very lightweight and perfect for the summer. It probably wouldn't keep a dog warm in cooler weather. Overall I love this rain jacket and would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Haven't had a chance to use the new rain jacket yet but at least it fits my boxer! We have a hard time finding jackets that fit his chest, but this jacket is perfectly designed for any size chest. We'll see for sure once we go walking but so far it seems to stay put which was also a problem with another rain jacket.

Great product for my Rhodesian Ridgeback who hates getting wet from the rain. Excited to use during the spring showers in a few months.
