How To Measure Your Dog's Paws!
Proper footwear fit is essential to a fun day out (or in). Here's how to measure your pet's paws...
With your pet's paw on the ground, measure from the tip of the claws (those have to fit inside the shoe too) to the back of where the paw touches the ground, which is just behind the pad.
While your pet's paw is still on the ground, measure from side to side at the widest point of your pet's paw, which is usually near the base of the toes.
Handy Tip: Try having your pet step on a piece of paper, then trace around the paw. Then, while your pet is off eating your houseplants or terrorizing the neighborhood, you can measure the traced outline in peace.
How To Measure Your Dog!
I have worked with the finest furry tailors in the world, and am here to share my bounty of knowledge. Here's how to measure your pet...
Measure from the base of the tail (where it connects to the hindquarters) up to where the collar typically sits at the base of the neck, then follow up with a generous back scratch.
This is measured by giving your pet a
hug, during which you measure the entire circumference (all the way around) at the widest point of your pet's chest. This is typically right behind the front legs.
First, plenty of kisses. Then, measure the neck's circumference
(the distance around it) at the point where the collar sits.
Important Sizing Note: The given measurements are the dimensions of the actual product, not of the pet they fit. After measuring your pet, make sure all measurements fit within the following dimensions (with a little room to spare in the chest and neck).

The bright red and reflector strips are great for our afternoon walks as it gets dark early in Maine. The freezing rain runs off of the jacket keeping Charlotte dry. She has also excepted the red boots that protect her paws from the salt.
Cosmo is a 7 year old Bich Poo adopted in July 2015. Keeping a white dog clean is a full time job especially in the winter when the ground is wet and there are muddy patches around. I also worry his paws need protection from salt so here he is modeling his winter outerwear. It was a very cold day so he's got layers on.

This is a beautiful and well made coat. My dog wears a harness when we take our walks and a regular jacket just does not work well. This is so convenient and usable for dogs that wear harnesses . We have had a lot of snow and cold temps in OH recently, Bella and I are looking forward to taking a walk very soon .....Thank You Baxter Boo for another great product !!!

This coat was a splurge for me but well worth it. It is very well made with high quality materials. It also fits very well. I like the reflective white stripes on the side. I live in a high traffic area with a small yorkie so having people see him is a big plus. The collar is shown up in the on line photo but it is generally made to fold down for a black collar contrast against the red. I've had a few fleece coats for spring/summer but always thought it would be nice if it offered some protection from light rain. So this is just what I was looking for. I'm sure my yorkie will get all kinds of compliments once he starts wearing it out and about.
