How To Measure Your Dog's Paws!
Proper footwear fit is essential to a fun day out (or in). Here's how to measure your pet's paws...
With your pet's paw on the ground, measure from the tip of the claws (those have to fit inside the shoe too) to the back of where the paw touches the ground, which is just behind the pad.
While your pet's paw is still on the ground, measure from side to side at the widest point of your pet's paw, which is usually near the base of the toes.
Handy Tip: Try having your pet step on a piece of paper, then trace around the paw. Then, while your pet is off eating your houseplants or terrorizing the neighborhood, you can measure the traced outline in peace.
How To Measure Your Dog!
I have worked with the finest furry tailors in the world, and am here to share my bounty of knowledge. Here's how to measure your pet...
Measure from the base of the tail (where it connects to the hindquarters) up to where the collar typically sits at the base of the neck, then follow up with a generous back scratch.
This is measured by giving your pet a
hug, during which you measure the entire circumference (all the way around) at the widest point of your pet's chest. This is typically right behind the front legs.
First, plenty of kisses. Then, measure the neck's circumference
(the distance around it) at the point where the collar sits.
Important Sizing Note: The given measurements are the dimensions of the actual product, not of the pet they fit. After measuring your pet, make sure all measurements fit within the following dimensions (with a little room to spare in the chest and neck).

I had to return and order 2 sizes bigger than measurements suggest

This is a top of the line jacket! Seems to be very warm, it's lined with a thick warm felt like material, adorable style w fur trim on the hood. I'm very disappointed with the sizing. I measured my dog and ordered the size they suggested. It didn't even come close to fitting my dog. The bummer part is that you can't exchange. You must return what you have and re-order. I bought this coat at 40% off and had to re-order and pay more bc they didn't have 40% off anymore. I also had to pay for the original shipping cost as well as the cost to return it. I obviously am impressed w the coat bc I ordered his correct size, just bummed the sizing isn't true to the suggested measurements. And for the this transaction has been costly.

We just received this jacket for our dachshund mix and it is nicer than some of my own jackets! There is a super soft lining in the hood and is sure to keep her warm when we visit the snow next week!
