How To Measure Your Dog's Paws!
Proper footwear fit is essential to a fun day out (or in). Here's how to measure your pet's paws...
With your pet's paw on the ground, measure from the tip of the claws (those have to fit inside the shoe too) to the back of where the paw touches the ground, which is just behind the pad.
While your pet's paw is still on the ground, measure from side to side at the widest point of your pet's paw, which is usually near the base of the toes.
Handy Tip: Try having your pet step on a piece of paper, then trace around the paw. Then, while your pet is off eating your houseplants or terrorizing the neighborhood, you can measure the traced outline in peace.
How To Measure Your Dog!
I have worked with the finest furry tailors in the world, and am here to share my bounty of knowledge. Here's how to measure your pet...
Measure from the base of the tail (where it connects to the hindquarters) up to where the collar typically sits at the base of the neck, then follow up with a generous back scratch.
This is measured by giving your pet a
hug, during which you measure the entire circumference (all the way around) at the widest point of your pet's chest. This is typically right behind the front legs.
First, plenty of kisses. Then, measure the neck's circumference
(the distance around it) at the point where the collar sits.
Important Sizing Note: The given measurements are the dimensions of the actual product, not of the pet they fit. After measuring your pet, make sure all measurements fit within the following dimensions (with a little room to spare in the chest and neck).

This is kind of like putting a lightweight down jacket on. It's a frost free jacket not made for the rain, although you could put it on in a light drizzle. It will keep your dog warm & dry. Here in California, we have pretty cold days & nights. My dog will wear this by itself as well as over a thin fleece vest. Nice that it's also reversible for color choices. Fits great, not too long & not too short. My dog is a Bichon poodle Mix, long & thin, so I bought her a size Large. It looks like a typical size Medium to me. Be sure to measure your dog against the measurements of the vest. It is spot on.

I love BaxterBoo. Great customer service. My only complaint is that its often hard to find things big enough for my dog (golden retriever). A lot of their stuff is geared more toward little dogs. When I do find something that comes in a large enough size for my dog, its often sold out in the large sizes.
