Side Effects |
Your pet may experience lack of appetite and vomiting and diarrhea may occur. If symptoms of diarrhea, vomiting and lack of appetite persist, contact your veterinarian. Other side effects may occur. If you notice anything unusual, contact your veterinarian. |
Usage |
Suspension is good for 60 days after opening. Shake well before use. Use the provided syringe to measure and give dose daily as directed by veterinarian. Rinse syringe between doses. Best if given on an empty stomach but can be given with food if pet vomits or acts sick, do not give with dairy products. |
Cautions |
Do not use in dogs, has been shown to cause bone marrow suppression in dogs. Contraindicated in cats with a known hypersensitivity to quinolones. Not for use in humans. For use in cats only. Keep out of reach of children. The safety in cats younger than 12 weeks has not been evaluated. The safety in cats that are used for breeding or that are pregnant and/or lactating has not been evaluated. The safety in cats that are immune-compromised has not been evaluated. Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication you are giving to your pet. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, and a drug interaction may be anticipated. In this case, your veterinarian may vary the dose and/or monitor your pet more closely. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together. The following drugs can potentially interact with Veraflox Oral Suspension: antacids, cimetidine, cyclosporine, digoxin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, glyburide, iron, zinc, methotrexate, nitrofurantoin, phenytoin, probenecid, quinidine, sucralfate, theophylline, warfarin. |
